UPDATE: Searches at the Capital City Hall, following the denunciation formulated by FACIAS

Following the criminal complaint made by the Foundation for the Defence of Citizens Against State Abuses (FACIAS), prosecutors of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) raided the City Hall today, 11 July, in search of evidence incriminating Mayor Nicușor Dan and another senior City Hall official.
FACIAS recently filed a criminal complaint with the National Anticorruption Directorate against the Mayor General and a City Hall official for possible corruption. An inspection by the State Building Inspectorate (ISC) uncovered 230 urban planning certificates and 15 building permits signed by an employee who had allegedly usurped the position of chief architect and issued by Mayor Nicușor Dan, although he was aware of the illegality of the documents. Today, DNA prosecutors followed up on the complaint of FACIAS and the former chief architect of the capital, who also claimed usurpation of the office, and raided the City Hall in the early hours of the morning where they collected several documents from the Urban Planning Department.
Former chief architect forced to retire
FACIAS detailed in the criminal complaint filed against Mayor Nicușor Dan the whole situation, how Matei Damian, the usurping official, assumed the role of chief architect although he had no such delegated powers, and in the end, instead of being sanctioned, he was rewarded by the Mayor General with the very position he had usurped, after he had forcibly "retired" Adrian Bold, the former chief architect. Nicușor Dan would no longer want to work with Bold because, according to the press, he would not serve his interests, as Matei Damian could have done.
FACIAS compliments DNA for its speedy response to the criminal complaint and will closely monitor the investigation.
