The Foundation For The Defense Of Citizens Against State Abuses (FACIAS) has received the response to the request of the National Airports Company Bucharest (CNAB) regarding the humiliating conditions for passengers at Henri Coandă International Airport.
In response to a request from FACIAS, CNAB outlined the specific measures it plans to implement to address the unique challenges currently facing the European Union. CNAB's detailed response indicated that the company intends to rebuild the air conditioning, fire detection, and lighting installations in the near future. Additionally, the company outlined its plans to invest heavily in the construction of a new terminal, new taxiways for aircraft, new parking lots, and other facilities.
CNAB has pledged to enhance the monitoring of contractual compliance among personnel remunerated for maintenance services at the airport. Additionally, CNAB has informed FACIAS of the implementation of an integrated system for the reception and resolution of travellers' grievances.
The CNAB's response was prompted by a request from FACIAS, which recently conducted an assessment of the airport's facilities and found that even the most basic standards for air conditioning and hygiene were not being met.
It is the intention of FACIAS to continue monitoring these issues and, should they remain unresolved, to take CNAB to court with a view to compelling it to ensure standards of cleanliness and adequate conditions for passengers.
