The Foundation For The Defense Of Citizens Against State Abuses (FACIAS) is launching a project to monitor Romania's National Sustainable Development Strategy 2030.
After the Romanian Government has authorized the completion of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of Romania 2030, FACIAS will supervise the plan's implementation to guarantee that all planned objectives are met in a fully transparent and equitable way.
The SNDDR 2030 plan, which is built on three pillars: economic, social, and environmental, intends to achieve a plethora of goals for Romania's long-term development in fields such as education, research, and health.
The history of the last 30 years has taught us that we have focused much of our time and resources on fixing the problems we have created in the past, so the tendency has been to focus on the past and present, instead of the future. Romania needs a well-coordinated and long-term development strategy, as well as foresight, predictability, transparency, and efficiency.
SNDDR 2030 is based on the premises they all measures will be implemented with the residents' best interests in mind, resulting in a state that covers for tasks in an efficient, equitable, balanced, and integrated manner. These noble aims shouldnțt remain only theoretical, but they should also be pursued, at least a part of them.We should focus our attention what will make Romania take significant steps toward sustainable development, a term that has been often discussed but remains a concept for the time being.
FACIAS will monitor and track the Government's progress in implementing SNDDR 2030, the transparent and efficient use of public funds.
FACIAS, according to its statutory purpose, but also through its constant activity over the past 14 years, defends the rights of citizens and seeks to ensure transparency in the functioning of state institutions as a principle of democracy and the rule of law.
