The Foundation for the Defence of Citizens against State Abuses (FACIAS), as a partner of Friends of Europe, will participate in a round table on the European Health Data Space on 10 October.
Friends of Europe is the largest European network involved in European and global policy-making and development, and is composed of a wide range of organisations, including NGOs, European institutions, universities and diplomatic missions.
The European Health Data Space is a health sector-specific ecosystem of common rules, standards and practices, infrastructures and a governance framework that aims to provide patients with easy access to their health records and to create a single space for health record systems.
In this area FACIAS has already started a broad project, "Romanian Patient - Fair Laws and Maximum Transparency", to ensure unhindered access of patients to the health system, to fair laws in their service, to their fair and transparent application, and to eliminate abuses in the field. One of the pillars of this project is the very determination of the authorities to create an easy-to-access virtual space for patients, so that they can easily check their medical history and the amount of money paid and spent for treatments received.
