As of 2014, FACIAS, is a member of the FRA (European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights), an independent body of the EU, which is financed from the budget. The purpose of the FRA is to provide the EU institutions and the member states with expertise and support to the independent, on the basis of evidence in the field of human rights. FRA maintain close contact with relevant institutions and organizations at all levels: the European Parliament, the council, the Council of the European Union, the European Commission and the EU agencies; the authorities of the national government, and in particular, through its network of military officers to the national to do with the role of the contact points in the main, FRA in the member states, as well as through thematic working groups on the roma people, and hate crimes; the representatives of the governments of the member states with a view to developing best practices for the application at national level of international organizations such as the Council of Europe, the Organization of the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE); civil society organizations, academic institutions, and bodies to promote equality and the national institutions in the field of human rights.
