Fundația pentru Apărarea Cetățenilor Împotriva Abuzurilor Statului (FACIAS) participated to the ALDA (European Association for Local Democracy) General Assembly on May 6, an organization in which it has been a member since 2017.
The event, which took place at the Strasbourg summit, brought together ALDA colleagues, the Board of Directors, members, and friends.
"FACIAS consolidates its presence in the international environment, connecting with partners who will contribute to the realization of collaborative projects within our organization's objectives. Projects which aim to protect citizens' rights, focusing on transparency in state institutions' actions," stated FACIAS representative Liliana Filip.
The event's discussions centered on three key pillars: migration, climate and education.
Furthermore, FACIAS had the opportunity to speak with Gilles Pelayo, the European Commission's Head of Unit Citizens and EU Values, who addressed the European program aimed at promoting citizen participation and dedicated to preserving and supporting European values.
