Again in 2023, The Foundation for the Defense of the Citizen Against State Abuses (FACIAS) continues to closely monitor Romania's 2030 National Sustainable Development Strategy.
According to the Department for Sustainable Development, a new profession, that of sustainable development expert, has been officially introduced and the target is that by 2026 Romania will have a corps of such experts numbering at least 2,000 people. The response received by FACIAS states that 150 civil servants in the public administration have become experts in sustainable development as a result of the first training programme.
FACIAS requested and received from the Department for Sustainable Development (DDD), which is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the objectives of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development, a list of the 150 civil servants who have benefited from the training courses to become "sustainable development experts".
