On Thursday, 24 June, the High Court of Cassation and Justice ordered a new trial date for the lawsuit filed by FACIAS against the Romanian Government for not publishing on time the methodological rules for Law 1/2009.
The next deadline at the High Court of Cassation and Justice is 23 September 2010.
Although FACIAS representatives were preparing for a final and irrevocable verdict in favour of FACIAS and, implicitly, of the citizens they represent, the court was forced to set a new trial date due to the request for intervention in the trial by two associations that did not appear.
The two associations - the Anti-Corruption Association and the Anti-Bureaucracy Association - are not in any partnership with FACIAS.
