The Foundation For The Defense Of Citizens Against State Abuses (FACIAS) aims to monitor the voting in polling sites so that it is carried out according to the law. To this end, FACIAS is opening applications for candidates to observe the local elections on 27 September.

Those who wish to register can do so by e-mailing [email protected].

The recruitment and accreditation of observers will be carried out exclusively by FACIAS, following consideration of the applications received.

The activity is not remunerated, therefore observers must be impartial and not involved in the election campaign.

Accredited persons may not intervene in any way in the organisation and conduct of the elections, but only have the right to notify the President of the electoral office in writing if they discover any irregularities.

.

Any act of electoral propaganda, as well as the violation in any way of the provisions of Law no. 208/2015, will lead to the application of legal sanctions, the suspension of accreditation by the electoral office

that has detected the misconduct, and on the day of voting, the immediate removal of the person concerned from the voting site.

In order to be registered, it is necessary to fill in a declaration of political non-affiliation for the local elections and a application for registration as an observer
