On the occasion of World Education Day, celebrated on 5 October, FACIAS congratulates teachers across the country who, despite catastrophic management of the national education system, manage to maintain a high level of responsibility and professionalism.
At the same time, we once again highlight the acute shortcomings in the work of the current Minister of Education, summarised in FACIAS's Decalogue of Disasters.
The most recent example: the new instruction issued by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, which stipulates that the examination of the health status of pre-school children, pupils and students in schools must be carried out by teachers, is totally ineffective, and schools in Romania have become real outbreaks of Covid in the last week.
Clearly, the immediate solution for overcoming the problems in Romanian education is the resignation of Minister Monica Anisie.
