FACIAS calls for those responsible to be held accountable
The Foundation for the Defense of the Citizen Against State Abuses (FACIAS) points out a phenomenon that has worsened in recent years, namely the passivity of the Romanian state in terms of recovering from those responsible the sums of money paid by way of damages and fines following decisions of the European Court of Human Rights and the European Court of Justice. In the last two years, out of a total of 177 cases for which the state was sanctioned by the European Court of Human Rights, the Ministry of Finance referred only 11 cases to the Judicial Inspection.
