Dear Prime Minister,
The government in power has the opportunity to rectify a historical injustice perpetrated by the Romanian state over the past 18 years. During this period, a significant portion of the rights of the younger generation were violated.
The lack of implementation of this legislation has resulted in a reduction in entrepreneurial initiatives from young people, experienced managers, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that contribute to the country's economy.
In recent times, we have observed the remarkable achievements of young Romanians who have brought glory to this country, representing it with distinction at the Olympic Games. This serves to reinforce the importance of providing support and promotion for young people.
In May of this year, the court upheld FACIAS's action to order the government to issue implementing rules for the "Youth Law No 350/2006." This law provides a number of benefits for young people, including stimulating entrepreneurial initiatives, supporting the establishment of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), offering tax breaks, providing training for future entrepreneurs and managers, and more. However, the application of this law is subject to the issuance of methodological rules.
It is now 18 years since the ruling was handed down, and a whole generation of young people has been deprived of the support they need to develop their careers and businesses. It is therefore time for the relevant authorities to act in line with the court's decision and order the necessary measures to issue and approve the methodological norms of Law 350/2006 as soon as possible.
That is why, Prime Minister, we are asking you to get personally involved to correct an injustice and to strengthen the foundation on which we are building the future of this country.
