The Foundation For The Defense Of Citizens Against State Abuses (FACIAS) publicly expresses its disapproval of the risks of a vertiginous increase in mortality raised by the new decisions of the Boc Government.
At the proposal of the Minister of Health and with the approval of the Executive, more than 70 hospitals have been closed or transformed into nursing homes since April 1st, a decision that has caused, so far, the loss of 3 human lives due to lack of access to health care.
FACIAS will address the Prime Minister with a request, in accordance with art. 16 paragraph. 2 of Law 115/1999 on ministerial responsibility, for the Executive to refer the matter to the President of Romania regarding the prosecution of the Minister of Health, Cseke Attila, for the offence of abuse of office against public interests provided for in Article 248 of the Penal Code.
FACIAS is also considering the possibility of filing an administrative action against the Government for the annulment of GD 303/2011 as unreasonable and illegal.
