The Foundation for the Defense of the Citizen Against State Abuses (FACIAS) calls on the Police and the Public Prosecutor's Office to properly investigate the accident caused by the former Minister of Justice, Monica Macovei, and not to be influenced by the positions she held in the past and the relations she still has in state institutions.
The former Justice Minister must be held accountable for her actions.
An innocent man is struggling between life and death after being hit by a car by former minister Monica Macovei.
According to media reports, Romanian police found that Monica Macovei "did not adapt her speed to the road conditions" on a "particularly dangerous right turn". She then "entered the opposite direction, where she collided head-on with the motorcycle driven in a normal manner".
The conclusions of the police investigation contradict Monica Macovei's claims, who, without a trace of humanity or morality, blamed the victim. Macovei claimed that the motorcyclist "crashed head-on into the left fender of the car" and that she did not go the wrong way.
Monica Macovei's lies are even more serious given that she has held numerous public offices, including that of Justice Minister, posing for years as a model of honesty and fairness.
