The state-owned company Informatica Feroviară S.A. is a new symbol of budgetary waste. According to data analyzed by The Foundation For The Defense Of Citizens Against State Abuses (FACIAS), in 2025 the company's management increased its allowances by over 50%, and in 2024 allocated bonuses and premiums amounting to over 450 thousand euros.

S.C. Informatica Feroviară S.A. is owned by Compania Naționala de Căi Ferate “C.F.R.” – S.A. and provides public information services in the field of rail transport, including the management of display and public address systems in railway stations, as well as the administration of passenger information centers. The company has 229 employees and personnel expenses exceeding €5.4 million per year. If we add the remuneration of the members of the Board of Directors and the income of the general manager, personnel expenses exceed €6 million.

According to documents analyzed by FACIAS, the gross annual allowances of the members of the Board of Directors have increased significantly in recent years, without any justification related to the company's performance. While in 2022, a member of the Board of Directors received a gross remuneration of 123,732 lei, in 2023 this increased to 140,400 lei, then to 166,812 lei in 2024, reaching 266,664 lei in 2025. Thus, in just three years, allowances doubled.

The increase in the gross remuneration granted to the general manager of Informatica Feroviară S.A. followed the same trend: from 372,625 lei in 2022 to 496,800 lei in 2023, 558,000 lei in 2024, and up to 620,000 lei in 2025. This increase of over 66% came with Easter and Christmas bonuses, set in advance, and a gross bonus of 54,000 lei for 2024. It should be noted that the company's revenues come from contracts with other state-owned companies in the railway sector.

FACIAS notes that, in 2025, austerity measures only apply to ordinary citizens, while the management of state-owned companies such as Informatica Feroviară will enjoy salary increases, generous bonuses, and performance-related bonuses.

FACIAS asks the Ministry of Transport to notify the Control Body to verify how public funds have been and are being managed by the state-owned company Informatica Feroviară S.A.
