The Foundation For The Defense Of The Citizens Against State Abuses (FACIAS) has published a guide for pensioners who have been adversely affected by the recent recalculation of pensions. The guide provides clear instructions and step-by-step guidance on how pensioners can challenge the recalculation decision in accordance with the relevant legal procedures.
A considerable number of cases have been presented in the public domain by pensioners who allege that the recalculation decisions have resulted in a reduction of their pension or that the new calculation formula announced by the authorities has been incorrectly applied. In response to these allegations and the numerous complaints received, FACIAS has published a comprehensive guide to assist pensioners in understanding and exercising their rights. The guide provides pensioners with detailed information on the preparation of the necessary documents and the application process.
Among the complaints most often raised by pensioners are: the amount of monthly income, contribution periods, special and special working conditions and permanent bonuses.
The guide is available online and can be downloaded from the facias.ro website, as well as a model application form that can be filled in and submitted to the county pension offices.
