CASPA - Community of Patients' Associations joins The Foundation For The Defense Of Citizens Against State Abuses (FACIAS) in announcing its support for the "Call for Life" campaign, an initiative aimed at addressing the transplant crisis in Romania and advocating for the rights of patients on transplant waiting lists.
The "Call for Life" campaign, initiated by FACIAS, seeks to highlight the critical situation surrounding organ transplantation in Romania. A significant number of patients die each year due to prolonged waiting periods and a shortage of donors. Since the inception of the campaign, FACIAS has advocated for the implementation of tangible measures by the Ministry of Health to enhance the transplant process and provide adequate support to patients. CASPA, the largest patient community in Romania, has decided to provide its support for this initiative, which is of the utmost importance in terms of saving Romanian lives.
