Based on the importance that the National Recovery and Resilience Plan has for Romania, FACIAS started the project "Transparency and Accountability - Monitoring the NRRP" where we monitor the implementation of investments and reforms agreed with the European Commission.
With the same goal in mind, FACIAS is organising a debate to discuss the conclusions and the state of implementation of the NRRP, one year after its inception:
«NRRP MONITORING:
THE POSSIBILITY OF RENEGOTIATING THE PLAN ON UNFULFILLED MILESTONES"
The event will take place on Wednesday, November 02, 2022,,
from 11:00 - 13:30, in the Human Rights room on the premises
Palace of the Parliament..
We will discuss and analyse with European officials, representatives of the Romanian state, experts and academics topics such as:
- Under what conditions is the renegotiation of the NRRP allowed, according to the European Commission Regulation: Can Romania obtain an extension of the deadlines for milestones and unfulfilled targets?
- Are there or are there not record delays in the implementation of milestones related to the 3rd quarter of 2022? What are the causes and for which milestones does Romania risk losing funding? Is it or is it not possible to increase or remove the 9.4% of GDP ceiling for the pension budget?
- How does the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism look in the European Parliament's analysis?
- The state of play in European countries with the implementation of their NRRPs. Best practice models.
FACIAS is an organisation that aims to ensure transparency in the functioning of state institutions as a principle of democracy and the rule of law and defends the rights of Romanian citizens.
