The Romanian Government is the institution that citizens perceive as the most abusive, in the opinion of the citizens who participated in the project of the Foundation for the Defence of Citizens Against State Abuses (FACIAS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the project \"Be informed, NOT abused!\"<\/em>, Citizens answered FACIAS questions, indicating the institutions that abused them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the first place is the Romanian Government, together with the National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU), 39.4% of the respondents claiming abuse from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The prosecutor's offices and the courts are in second place, with a percentage of 16.7%, and in the third place in the ranking are the town halls and the local authorities, with 10.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 9.8% of the citizens reported abuses by the Romanian Police, and almost 7% reported abusive situations from ANAF (Finance and Taxes Office), equal to the abuses in the health system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Public Pension Institutions were claimed by 3.7% of those who answered FACIAS questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Among the institutions with the least reported abuses are the Ministry of Labour and the Directorates of Social Assistance and Child Protection, both with 1.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Following the centralization of data and answers to the questionnaire conducted in the project to inform citizens about their rights in relation to state institutions, it turned out that 73% of respondents consider that they have been victims, at least once, of abuses from state institutions or their employees.
