At least, this is the response from the National Administration of State Reserves to the Foundation for the Defense of Citizens Against State Abuses (FACIAS).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">FACIAS requested that the government publicly communicate whether the state reserves can meet food needs and for how long these would be available.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the official response, there is currently enough wheat  to cover consumption for at least four months. Other grains or foods were not mentioned in the response from the National Administration of State Reserves.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">FACIAS drew attention to the fact that Romanian legislation allows for much shorter periods of time to establish state reserves than in other countries. According to the official response, these reserves are set up to cover at least four months, whereas state reserves in other European countries, such as Germany or France, can cover up to two years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">FACIAS's request was addressed to the Prime Minister, and the response received from the National Administration of State Reserves addresses only a portion of the issues raised.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a result, FACIAS did not receive an answer to its questions about the state's purchases of cereals other than wheat, or the status of the construction of strategic regional warehouses, both of which were included in the PNRR and should have begun in 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">FACIAS promotes , not only in accordance with its statutory mission, but also via its 14-year track record of activity, citizens' rights and strives to maintain transparency in the functioning of governmental institutions as a
