FACIAS<\/span><\/span>

OBJECTIVES<\/span><\/h1><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

FACIAS's<\/strong> objectives are as follows:<\/p>

  • Monitoring state abuses and taking action to correct them through legal means; and monitoring regulations and practices in the fields of justice and health that have an impact on human rights.<\/li>
  • Defending and upholding human rights as stated in international treaties and European legislation;<\/li>
  • Reporting human rights abuses to public authorities and initiating collective disputes;<\/li>
  • Ensuring transparency in the functioning of state institutions as a European principle of democracy and the rule of law;<\/li>
  • FACIAS<\/strong> will offer free assistance to citizens in promoting, upholding, or defending their rights, as well as in taking action against reported abuses.<\/li>
  • Citizens' involvement in the elaboration of governmental decisions and policies aimed at resolving communal issues;<\/li>
  • State institutions advising communities of aggrieved citizens;<\/li>
  • Organizing meetings between citizens and officials of state institutions in order for citizens to oversee the fulfillment of the state's functions in society;<\/li>
  • Establishment of annual civic awards to residents, volunteers, and state institutions for compliance with responsibilities to citizens, publication of information materials and other printed materials to aid in the achievement of the intended aims;<\/li>
  • Organizing activities aimed at identifying, encouraging, and promoting individuals with creative-inventive potential;<\/li>
  • FACIAS <\/strong>will pursue any additional legal action before any State institution in order to realize its mission of protecting citizens' rights and interests and defending them against any abuse committed by State institutions against them;<\/li><\/ul>

    To fulfill its proposed purpose of protecting citizens from State abuses, FACIAS<\/strong> will use all and any legal means, including but not limited to denunciations, criminal notices, complaints, memoranda, petitions, addresses, actions in justice, appeals and so on, to fulfill a general interest in protecting Romanian citizens.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
